Qualtrics have a large amount of support material which UWA users should consult as their first stop for learning to use Qualtrics.
UWA Qualtrics Brand Administrators are not experts in the use of Qualtrics or survey design. Please use the links below as a starting point.
Get started in Qualtrics' XM Basecamp with the Learn the XM Platform (Deep Dive) support material.
The full range of Qualtrics Support material can be found at their website.
You can collaborate or share your surveys with anyone who has a Qualtrics account. UWA staff can collaborate with colleagues outside of UWA as long as they have a Qualtrics license (and account) at their institution.
Instructions are available on the Qualtrics Support site:
If you cannot find a UWA user in the system, it may be that they have not yet logged into their UWA Qualtrics account before. Ask them to login, and then try again to share your project with them.
The following resources may provide you with guidance on constructing appropriate survey questions:
UWA staff and students can create 50 surveys, and can have up to 400 items per survey.
Requests to increase user survey permissions can be made to the UWA Qualtrics Brand Administrators. Before requesting access to more survey shells, please check that you don't have any old inactive surveys that you no longer require.
Qualtrics surveys used in research will require the approval of the UWA Human Research Ethics Committee.
There are a variety of ways to distribute your survey, follow the links below for more information.
*For security purposes, Qualtrics Inc. has applied a weekly mailing limit of 10,000 survey invites when using the Qualtrics mailer. UWA has no control over this restriction. However, Qualtrics do allow individual exceptions for critical projects. Contact the Qualtrics support team directly with your request.
All students should seek feedback and approval from their supervisor prior to distributing a Qualtrics survey.
