There are two steps that need to be completed for students to have access to your list.

First, Send your list to the Library to be processed. Library staff will publish your list, and ensure all items are available for students.

Second, check the link to Unit Readings in the LMS is visible. This link is visible to students by default.

If you have completed both of these steps, and the problem persists, you may need to link your list with the correct LMS unit.

In Unit Readings, Click the ellipsis (...) to the top right of your list to view the list menu.

Click 'Manage unit association'

Search for your unit code and select the option with the correct semester in the title.

When you are logged in to Unit Readings, 'Lists' is the first page displayed on logging in, showing the lists you have access to.

If the list for your unit is not there, contact UWA Librarians for access to any existing list from the previous year or teaching period.

If you click on a Unit Readings list from the Student Preview mode of the LMS, it does not display the list. This is because Unit Readings only allows access to the list from the Student view of LMS if you are an enrolled student.

To view your reading list, exit Student Preview Mode in the LMS. Then click the Unit Readings link from the Staff view of LMS.

Staff can preview lists as a student within the Unit Readings system.

As long as the link to Unit Readings in the left LMS menu is Shown to students, and the list has been sent to the Library, it will be visible to enrolled students.

Each time changes are made to your list, you will need to press Send List to notify the Library there are changes to process.

Items added to your list, but not yet sent to the Library, have the status 'Being Prepared'. Press Send List for these items to be processed and become visible to students ('Complete' status). Items the Library is processing have the status 'Sent'.

Once your reading list has been sent to the Library, books and ebooks which have been tagged 'Essential textbook' in Unit Readings will appear in the textbook section of the Unit Outline. This saves time as there is no longer a need to manually type out the textbooks in the Unit Outline.

To ensure your unit textbook appears in the Unit Outline:

1. Please add the tag 'Essential textbook - students recommended to purchase' to the textbook
2. Please ensure the item type in Unit Readings is "Book" or "ebook" 
3. Please ensure the Send List button has been pressed

Then, open the Unit Outline Builder, and refresh the textbook section.

If the textbook still does not appear after completing the steps above please contact UWA Librarians for assistance.

To report to the Library that an online item in your list can't be accessed, click on the item to show the full record and click 'Mark as Broken' in the Links and Availability section.
