Accessing UWA subscribed software
Students can access a range of UWA subscribed software through UniApps in the LMS.
How to find software:
- Look for the UniApps link in the LMS, or follow this step-by-step process.
- When you have UniApps open, search for software by name or use.
Free video editing and design software
Free video editing software
- DaVinci Resolve (Windows and Mac) DaVinci Resolve combines editing, color correction, visual effects, motion graphics and audio post production in one software tool. It boasts to be "easy for new users, yet powerful for professionals". The free version is called 'DaVinci Resolve'.
- Clipchamp (Windows) Movie editing software, only available on a Windows. Clipchamp has a free and a paid version.
- iMovie (Mac) iMovie is free but only available on a Mac.

Free art and design software
- Canva (online) Canva - Free-to-use online graphic design tool. Use it to create social media posts, presentations, posters, videos, logos and more.
- GIMP GIMP - GNU Image manipulation program is a photo retouching, image composition and image authoring. Supports multiple platforms.
- Krita Krita - Digital painting program similar to GIMP but with a painting focus. Free and open source.
- Photo Pos Pro Photo Pos Pro Photo Editor is a free program that lets users view and edit graphic files. This program supports the importing of unlimited files, including those that are password-protected. The program is equipped with a range of editing tools, like transparency settings, masks, photo effects, and script tools.

Generative AI tools
Many Gen AI tools can be used to edit and remix images, videos, and sound.

What is Nitro PDF?
Nitro is a PDF editing and authoring application available to all students and staff. It is installed on all UWA-managed computers.

LinkedIn Learning is free to UWA students and has online learning modules on using software and much more.
- LinkedIn Learning UWA offers free unlimited access to Linkedin Learning for UWA Students and Staff. LinkedIn Learning provides you with access to a wide range of online learning modules aimed at helping you to develop the professional and personal skills to support your studies and your future career.
Recording Studios at UWA Library
